Frequently asked questions

How does CircleSave ensure my money is safe?
Every naira is tracked on an immutable double-entry ledger. Entries cannot be deleted or altered by design — a database trigger enforces this. Additionally, 5% of every contribution is ring-fenced in an insurance reserve.
What is the minimum number of members for a savings circle?
Minimum 5 members are required before a circle can become active and contributions can start. The fund creator is always member #1.
What payment methods can members use to contribute?
Bank transfer, debit card, mobile wallet (OPay, PalmPay, Kuda), and USDC cryptocurrency via Polygon.
How are payouts distributed?
Payout order is set when the circle is created. When it is a member's turn, the full pool (minus the 5% insurance reserve) is disbursed to their bank account, mobile money number, or crypto wallet.
Is CircleSave regulated?
We operate under CBN guidelines for fintech platforms and comply with NDPR (Nigerian Data Protection Regulation) and FATF AML standards. All members undergo KYC and sanctions screening before they can contribute.
Can diaspora members join a circle from abroad?
Yes. Diaspora members can contribute and receive payouts via USDC on the Polygon network. Every transaction creates the same double-entry ledger entries regardless of channel.
